Turks and Caicos location and characteristics earns accolades that continue to add up in 2016, thanks to recognition of the destination’s amazing attributes.
In February, Grace Bay beach on Providenciales was voted the #1 beach in the world by TripAdvisor’s 2016 Traveller’s Choice Awards. It followed a 2015 award earned by the country as the #1 island destination in the world.
Conde Nast has placed Turks and Caicos on the list of “The Most Beautiful Islands in the Caribbean”, noting the beautiful beaches on Providenciales and the colonial architecture in Cockburn Town on Grand Turk.
The Caribbean Journal also placed Turks and Caicos on a list of the “Best Islands in the Caribbean for Yachting, Sailing and Boating” and – no surprise – a list of the “50 Best Beaches in the Caribbean.”
The World Travel Awards has also recognized the Turks and Caicos as a premier destination, with the award for the “Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination” in 2015 and the “World’s Leading Beach Destination” in 2014.
